# How To Install Oracle JDeveloper (with Java EE support) On Snow Leopard

Download JDeveloper from: http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/jdev/index.html [1 GB = 300 MB JDeveloper + 700MB WLS]*Before* you start the installation, follow the instructions in the release notes. You will have to create a symbolic link as root. Note: the DirectoryUtility is located in /System/Library/CoreServices/Directory Utility.app. and the path to JDK 1.6 on Snow Leopard is: /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Home/Execute the downloaded jar with java -jar jdevstudio11111install.jarJUnit support is not included in the package, but can be downloaded from the extensions afterwards.
The whole procedure, with Oracle's WebLogic Server installation takes about 0.5h-1h.
