3rd Airhacks Q&A And The Answers Are:

The June edition of Airhacks Q & A Live is available:

14 proposed questions as well as a bunch of live questions from the audience were answered.

Traditionally several questions about various topics like JSF and security (JASPIC) were generated and are going to be answered in the next edition of Airhacks Q & A in July

Write your questions as comments to this post, drop me a tweet or write a comment on my youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/bienadam. I will pick again the 10 most recent questions and will answer them at the next edition of Airhacks Q & A.

Testing (unit <-> integration) and quality seems to be still a hot topic, so I scheduled a special, regular (offline) event at MUC this summer: http://workshops.adam-bien.com/about-testing.htm. There are already registrations available, so hurry up!

See you at the regular Java EE Workshops at MUC Airport ...and live each first Monday of the month at 6 P.M (CET) http://airhacks.io!

Comments:

Got one question about JAX-RS: what about partial updates? Is there any standardized way to update only some fields of an entity in PUT method? Maybe using JSON-Patch or manually with JSONObject

Hi,

I really enjoy your Airhacks Q&A sessions, so thanks for putting the time.

Following up on the question about using Angular/Backbone instead of JSF/Servlet for business applications, how would you structure your EJB to support multiple clients, e.g. iPhone client with asynchronous requests and JSF web clients? Especially how to share a common security mechanism between the two types of client access?

Might take long to explain in an Airhacks session, but I think a lot of followers would be interested.

Cheers,
Eddy

Question question: why CDI use proxy during injection ? Could you describe CDI inject mechanism "behind the scene" ?

@Marek
I think, that Adam already explain it. Try to look here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WL5bqoXFBWg
