Comments:

I was watching the session while driving, so could not ask in real time. The use-case for the distributed counter is very similar to web-analytics: handling thousands of different metrics calculated from different incoming requests almost real-time. In other words, if I wanted to build a web-analytics in J2EE, what would be the ideal stack? Would Cassandra's JAVA driver actually play nice with j2EE? Any opinion on the answer in http://stackoverflow.com/questions/20140058/can-the-datastax-java-driver-be-safely-used-in-ee-containers ?
