I will pick the most interesting questions from this blog, twitter and answer them live at: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/adambien at every first Monday of the month at 6 P.M CET. Of course you will be able to ask the questions during the show as well. The next event is already announced: Adam Bien's Questions and Answers.

Hi Adam,

I have what I hope is an interesting question for you.
Is swing-javafx hybrid supported by jdk for Mac OS X and Ubuntu? I noticed when using Eclipse with JDK 1.7.0_45 on the MAC OS X that I had to add the jfxrt.jar to the project where I had javafx inside a swing app. Maybe also related is when I created a bundle using either javafx deploy ant tasks or AppBundle task from Oracle when I run the .app on the Mac OS X I get the exception about Platform class not being found yet the jfxrt.jar is in the bundle.
On windows I do not have these problems with eclipse and 1.7.0_45 JDK. So is this issue fixed with JDK 8?
