Last Day at the Sun Tech Days Conference, Polyglot programming, jMaki, AJAX and java.net corner.

The Sun Tech Days Conference is almost over. Craig McLanahan started the day with a keynote about polyglot (multilingual) programming in the agile world. During his talk he mention a secret project (and memcache) without exposing more details. It was a high level talk (with only few Java Server Faces, Struts slides :-)), however with some background knowledge. The AJAX, "Web 2.0" session were really interesting. After very small introduction lot of code was presented. The jMaki session was interesting as well. jMaki's purpose is simplification and standardization of different AJAX frameworks. During the session Yahoo Geocoding and Google Maps application was wired (a typical Web 2.0 use case :-)). During the breaks and in the evening I talked with Java DB, Netbeans, Solaris, Java FX guys - about new features etc.

I asked the participants about their opinion - they were satisfied as well. I'm already looking forward to next year :-).
