What Is javasoft.com?
JavaSoft was Sun's subsidiary which developed the first editions of Java. JDK/JRE were primary only available from www.javasoft.com, as well as common news about Java, JavaONE etc - very like java.sun.com. Actually you can still use the url www.javasoft.com and will be redirected to java.sun.com. This is what I actually still do. Someone asked me recently about that. Then I actually recognized the redirection :-).

I recently stumbled upon JAVASOFT as the software company (http://www.javasoft.de) that produces Synthetica L&F :). Probably they soon have to change their name to DevSoftXX when Sun finds out...
