You Should Start With This IT-Interview Question

What does the number 42 mean for you?

The funniest answer I got so far was: "I heard about that already"

You can directly google for 42 and will get the correct answer.  Interesting: if you search for "Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything", you will get an interesting reaction from google (a small calculator).

google has also a very interesting way of teaching you what "recursion" means ;)

"42 (forty-two) is the natural number following 41 and preceding 43"
- Simplest I found, from the wikipedia.

As far as I remember in TIFF specification there is "a well chosen arbitrary number" right after the byte that describes the endian.

One question I like to ask when doing a job interview is if the interviewee knows vi.
Funniest (and maybe best) answer so far: "I know how to quit"
